Position Overview: As a Business Development Representative, you’ll be a core part of our founding GTM team, responsible for identifying and engaging prospects across the US and globally. You’ll be the first touchpoint for CISOs and other security leaders — crafting creative, high-impact outreach that opens doors and drives qualified opportunities. This is a high-ownership role, where you’ll play a key part in building our early pipeline, shaping our outbound motion, and helping fuel Tonic’s growth from the ground up. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Research, identify and engage with potential customers that match our ICP.
  • Craft personalized, creative and effective outreach via email, LinkedIn and other channels, and book qualified meetings with prospects.
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads and enrich our pipeline with high-value opportunities.
  • Own our sales tools (Hubspot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc.) and keep everything organized.
  • Collaborate closely with the CEO and Account Executives to shape outreach strategies.
  • Experiment with messaging, angles and tactics to find what works, then double down.
  • Collaborate with marketing on account-based campaigns, messaging, and feedback loops.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as an SDR or BDR in a B2B tech company, ideally in a cybersecurity startup.  
  • Proven success in cold outreach and lead generation with enterprise or mid-market customers.
  • Fluent (native is an advantage) English speaker with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative thinker with a strategic, thoughtful approach to outreach.
  • Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders (CISO, CIO, etc).
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and data driven.
  • Familiar with HubSpot or similar CRM systems.
  • Curious, proactive, and passionate about learning our market and making things happen.
